The Home Base is the central base of operations of the Resistance, an organisation created to fight against the tyranny of the Mayor of the city. Workers are quite common, but Slum Dwellers are still common as well. Tubes spawn inside of factories and spit out giblets, unaffected by power or the presence of a nearby Computer. It offers new hazards such as Mine Carts and Flame Grates, continuously spewing gas, and spilled oil. Industrial is the second area of the game. Cops begin spawning as of the second level (displayed as Slums 2 or Level 1-2). Good place to try various tactics and get a general feel for the game. Basic NPCs such as Shopkeepers and Drug Dealers will be very common as well as Goons, Gangsters, and Slum Dwellers. The Slums are the first area of the game. There are also most Character types and NPCs from the game wandering around, who can be spoken to. From Home Base you can access Co-op, enable/disable the various Mutators, apply a Seed, choose items for the next run via Loadout Soldier, and spend Chicken Nuggets on various unlocks (for both items and traits). There are currently 6 main stages in the game once a run has started.

The third floor in every stage features a disaster (unless No Disasters has been enabled). Aside from Home Base and Mayor Village, each stage is made up of three floors. Each stage offers something unique compared to the previous stages. Each stage is a sector of the city, each layered on top of one another. Stages are where you will spend your time in the game, completing Missions in order to go to the next floor within a stage. Release an EMP blast around you that disables electronic devices, recharges you, heals you, and damages NPCs. Use the Possession Stone to leave the body. Shapeshifter Take control of an NPC from behind, keeping their traits and abilities. Alien Fire a projectile that makes you control the movement and actions of NPCs. Hacker Use to remotely hack any hackable object.

At best joining your party, at worst becoming Hostile. Comedian Tell a joke to everyone around you, changing their alignment. Use to neutralize anyone (ideally the Guilty). Slave Master Turn any electrocuted, frozen, dizzy, or crazy-dizzy person into a slave. Use to instantly neutralize anyone from behind. Charge up and storm ahead, breaking objects and walls in your way. Go invisible for a limited amount of time.

Below is a list of all special abilities currently available in the game: Bite: a person from behind to deal damage and regain health. Each ability has a Custom Character Point Value (CCPV) for when they are selected for Custom Characters during character creation. All built-in characters also have a Super Special Ability that will improve their special ability after completing their Big Quest. Special Abilities are skills that many characters possess which can be performed by using the key. Rogue-lite meets immersive sim, and goes completely insane. It’s like Nuclear Throne meets Deus Ex, mixed with the anarchy of GTA. Fight, sneak, and hack your way through randomly generated cities.

Below is every Building, sorted by which Stage they first appear in. Buildings are various formations that house Objects and Characters. These characters refer to the various AIs seen on every level in-game and are not directly controlled by the player. Some characters must be unlocked before they can be chosen. Playable characters, as the name implies, are characters that players can play as and are chosen at the beginning of the game.
